We are very sorry to announce the death of our honorary president Seamus Murtagh.

A lifelong member of the Geraldines, Seamus was part of the junior championship-winning team of 1966. Seamus served in many roles after his playing days were over.

He was club PRO for many years & took the role of MC at many events back in the day including memorably after the intermediate championship success of 1995. Seamus played a huge part in the commencement of our indoor bowls club which has provided so much pleasure for many down the years.

As a club, we were incredibly fortunate to have Seamus as one of our own. Although ill health has kept him away over the past few years his loss will be sorely felt in McGeough Park & that mischievous smile will alas not be seen again.
To Tina & all the family we offer our sincerest condolences and thank you for sharing Seamus with us over the years
