As we near the end of 2024, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our members, supporters and the wider community in Ardclough a very happy Christmas and a peaceful new year.
At our AGM at the end of November we had the opportunity to reflect on 2024 and the huge amount of work undertaken around the club, on and off the pitch. Our Executive Committee was elected along with the Football and Hurling Committees and we wish Ger, Diarmuid, Liz and Ollie the best of luck next year. There is a busy year ahead with the development of the new pitch across from the school, fundraising will be high on the agenda as we continue our Club Development Plan and we have a full season of league, championship and Go Games for our younger members ahead. We also look forward to seeing more of our members participate in Scór.
Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported the club in 2024. Whether it’s playing or running the lotto every week, looking after our pitch and bookings, coaching, or supporting from the sideline, the hard work and time given by people in our club, no matter how big or small is essential to making our club what it is today.
We hope our younger members are excited for Christmas🎅 . We were delighted to have the man himself visit the clubhouse to see all our young players at the start of December. Santa knows that the boys and girls in Ardclough have been so well behaved, especially every week at training and we know they are all on the good list. Thank you to Aidan and Gary for arranging the visit.
Finally, at this time of the year our thoughts turn to those members and supporters who cannot make it back home this Christmas and to those no longer with us. May we find comfort in their memories and keep them close this Christmas.
We hope everyone enjoys the break and we look forward to your continued support and seeing you on a sideline in the new year.
