Congratulations to Zach Aherne who has been awarded a Technological University Dublin (TUD) Elite Athlete Support Programme Scholarship. Zach has been granted elite athlete status for the programme as a dual player in hurling and Gaelic football.
The Athlete Support Programme is for students who wish to compete and succeed at the highest sporting level while simultaneously pursuing an academic programme at TUD. Through the programme elite and high-performance athletes are given the opportunity of developing their sporting career by offering the highest standards in sport service provision that can include Fee Waivers, Academic Entry (Additional CAO points), Financial Support, Access to High Performance Training facilities, Academic Mentoring, Strength and Conditioning, Sports Nutrition, Performance Skills Workshops, Sports Mentoring, Physiotherapy, Career Guidance Support and academic mentoring support.
