A Chara,

I hope you all are well and are enjoying the great weather. With the schools back in full swing, our schools coaching programme has recommenced with Pat O’Connell the driving force of this wonderful initiative. Over the last few years, Pat has also recruited local transition year students from the club to help out with the coaching of these school children. This work done by both Pat and the TY students is invaluable and gets kids started in our national sport. It can sometimes be unseen work but it absolutely crucial to encouraging the youth of the parish to start kicking a ball or pucking a sliotar. Many thanks to John Connelly for sending in the following presentation which outlines the work done by all in our local primary schools. Can also be viewed in PowerPoint in the attached file.

Pat O Connell

Pat has been in our schools for the last 10 years, coaching hurling & football.
