See below correspondence from Pat Fitzgerald, Clare GAA County Secretary.

  • Ballyea GAA would like to thank Pat for his years of service to Clare GAA and wish him health and happiness in his retirement from the role of County Secretary.

Runai a chara,

I am writing to inform you that after 32 years of service it is my intention to step down from my role as Clare County Secretary on the 18th July this year.

I want to express my deep gratitude and best wishes to all the members and staff of each and every club in Clare for the hard work, diligence and commitment given to our Association since I took up the role in July 1990.

Together, we have enjoyed many successes and good days out over the years, and I will be forever immensely proud of our collective contribution to Clare hurling and football.

I would like to thank our current and previous Board Officers who I worked with to develop our beloved game in our county and wish them well into the future.

It has been a busy and demanding role but one I have enjoyed immensely. I wish the county and all our teams only the very best with all future endeavours and plans, both on and off the field of play.

The County Committee will put in a replacement process in the coming weeks.

Mise le meas,

Padraig Mac Gearailt,

Runai C.L.G. Coiste Chontae An Chlair.
