On Friday last the Minister of State for Sport and the Gaeltacht Jack Chambers TD dropped by to Sars to meet and discuss the availability of funding for the development of the Sarsfields/Glanmire pitches in Kiely Park.
He met with Keith Mulcahy Chairperson, Tim O'Driscoll Club Officer and Teddy McCarthy Vice Chairperson and a GAA legend and local hero who has the unique achievement of winning All-Ireland senior hurling and football medals in a single year back in 1990.
