Our U9s play the annual Kilmurry harvest festival blitz today at 1230 in the festival field. Newmarket are the current holders, since 2019 , as this was the last time the festival was held due to covid. The teams participating are Sixmilebridge, Newmarket, OC Mills and Cratloe.

The U9s have had nearly 25 training sessions and 10 blitzes to date. They have completed the Go Games scheduled U9 blitzes and have had some internal and club organised blitzes since then. Their most recent outing was against Smith O Briens and Cratloe. There will be U8 and U10 blitzes from September onwards to prepare the U7s and U9s to the step up to the next level for next season.

Despite holidays training has continued every week and the boys are really showing improvement with striking, ball control and tackling being the main focus for now.
