31 May 2023 - Sixmilebridge A 2-15 Clonlara 2-14
The U15 As played their final group game of the campaign when they made the trip to Clonlara last Wednesday evening. The squad were hoping to keep up their recent run of good form with a strong finish to the group stages.
The hosts got off to a flying start and raced into a 6 point to 1 lead after 15 mins. A few positional changes were required before the Bridge pulled themselves back into the game and went into the half time break with a 1-7 to 9 point lead.
With Clonlara needing a win to stay in the championship the second half was a cracker with the lads withstanding major pressure to win out on a 2-15 to 2-14 score-line. Good performances all over for Sixmilebridge with special mentions for Ross Kearney, Donal O’Leary and Stephen Gavin.
The result means the U15s topped the group after 6 games and are now directly through to the semi-finals.
05 June 2023 - Squad Bonding Session
As there are a few weeks before the semi-final, the full U15 squad took advantage of the fine weather and had a bonding event in Cratloe Woods on Monday evening. The session involved a forest run, water fights, tug of war, hurling badminton and was topped off with a mighty barbeque and ice-cream afterwards.
