The club wishes to express sympathy with the Fitzpatrick and Brady families on the death of Ultan Fitzpatrick.

Ultan, well known for his administrative work at Minor Board and Post-Primary Schools level in Meath, is a brother of Gerry,a long-time executive committee member in the past and former County Board delegate and senior selector in Simonstown.

He is also an uncle of Raymond Brady, another long-time executive committee member and club activist.

Some of Ultan's grandchildren have also played with Simonstown and Macdara and Donagh Fitzpatrick, sons of Ultan's son Pat, were members of the club's 2012 Meath U-21 football championship winning squad.
