ClubZap Limited is a company or what some people call a business. In this document, ClubZap (“we”, “our”, “us” or “ClubZap”) who are based in Cloughoolia, Sixmilebridge, Clare, may use personal data (“Personal Data”) belonging to you as shown below.

We may collect Personal Data from you or which you provide to us. The Personal Data that you give us will be held by us as a data controller which means that we will be responsible for what happens to it. We take this role very seriously.

This Privacy Statement (“Statement”) sets out our responsibilities and your rights as well as what we will do with your Personal Data.

This Statement applies to your use of our application, which we call the Platform (“Platform”) in this document.

We are working closely with third parties (including, for example, the Gaelic Athletic Association. We also work with equivalent other sports governing bodies depending on the relevant sport.

Unfortunately, sending information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data where it is sent to or from the Platform; any transmission is at your own risk.

Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access as much as we can.

How long we keep your Personal Data for

In general, we expect to keep your Personal Data for as long as is needed for the purposes for which we collected it from you. However, please note that in certain circumstances we may hold certain of your Personal Data for a longer period, for example, if we are processing an ongoing claim or believe in good faith that the law or a relevant regulator may reasonably in our view expect or require us to preserve your Personal Data.

The criteria we will use to determine the period for which we will hold your personal data include: (a) the length of our relationship with you; (b) whether we are under a legal obligation under Irish or European Union law which requires the retention of your Personal Data; (c) whether the retention of your Personal Data is required in light of our legal position.

Right of Access

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the Personal Data held by us about you and to access the information which we hold about you. We will charge you for making such an access request only where you make too many requests, but typically, it will not cost you anything.

Right to Rectification

You have the right to have any outdated or inaccurate Personal Data which we hold about you updated or corrected.

Right to Erasure

In certain circumstances, you may also have your Personal Data deleted, for example if you exercise your right to object (see below) and we do not have an overriding reason to process your Personal Data or if we no longer require your Personal Data for the purposes set out in this Notice.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to ask us to limit processing your Personal Data in certain cases, including if you believe that the Personal Data we hold about you is not correct or that our use of your Personal Data is not legal. If you exercise this right correctly, we will store your Personal Data and will not carry out any other processing, other than processing your data in line with our retention periods until the issue is resolved.

Right to Data Portability

You may request us to provide you with your Personal Data which you have given us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and you may request us to transmit your Personal Data directly to another data controller where this is technically possible. This right only arises where we process your Personal Data on the legal bases of your consent or where it is necessary to perform our contract with you.

You have a right to object at any time to the processing of your Personal Data where we process your Personal Data on the legal basis of pursuing our legitimate interests.

Changes to this Notice

We may change this Statement on occasion, in whole or part, at our sole discretion. Any changes will be posted on this page which will be kept up to date. Please check this Statement regularly for changes.
