Meath's minor hurling stars finally got their hands on their Peadar O Liathain Cup winner's medals this week, and we are delighted to say that Longwood was very well represented, courtesy of Malachy Fisher and Conor Dixon.

Both lads have dazzled with hurl in hand for many years and it was with tremendous pride that we followed their journey with the county team in the first half of the year.

They played leading roles throughout the campaign and contributed handsomely to what was a very successful season.

We look forward to seeing the boys represent Longwood and Meath for many years to come.

A special mention too for Dylan Duignan who was also a key member of the county panel. Dylan, Malachy and Conor have soldiered together for Longwood/Killyon as juveniles

but will be rivals when they graduate to adult hurling next year!

Huge congratulations to the boys on their success. Long may it continue! 🤍🖤💚💛
