Following an equally positive and successful AGM in December at #MSPCamogie HQ we would like to take the opportunity to officially welcome our newly elected club officers:
- Chairperson Mary Barry Larkin
- Children's Officer Hilary Pratt
- Assistant Children's Officer Clodagh Reaboi.
They will join existing officers:
- Treasurer Niamh Mangan
- Registrar Aileen Nestor
- PRO Annie Browne
A HUGE thank you to outgoing Chairperson Grainne O'Shea, Secretary Suzanne O'Rourke & Children's Officer Michelle Meagher who have steered the good ship MSPCamogie over the last number of years! The support they have provided to the committee and the club members has been second to none and we will be forever thankful for the time and dedication given. Enjoy fewer whatsapp groups, messages and emails!
Camogie has never been so strong here at Mungret St Pauls and our plan, with these ladies at the helm and the support of our qualified coaches and wide community of volunteers is to continue to build on the numbers of girls coming through our gates. Each volunteer in our club is encouraged to continue to create a cultural shift so that our players are seen as strong, valuable, talented individuals, and worth celebrating! We strive to increase visibility and recognise and reward our players efforts, no matter how big or small they are.
What we are looking for from our new Camogie Secretary:
The main purpose of the Club Secretary is that of principal administrator for #MSPCamogie. The Secretary carries out (or delegates) all of the administrative duties that enable the club and its members to function effectively. The Secretary has a pivotal role within the club, with a close involvement in the running of the club. The Secretary will work closely with the Club Chairperson and Treasurer and if required will make important decisions between Executive Committee meetings The role of the Secretary includes good communication skills and a good knowledge of the Official Guide, County and Club bye-laws. The Secretary is usually the first person an outsider contacts, and a good Secretary is vital to the successful management of the club. As the main administration officer, the Secretary provides a link between the members, the Executive Committee, the players, team management, County Board and other clubs. The role of Secretary is diverse and varied and they will often be at the forefront of a mix of duties all of which are as important as each other.
Please reach out to our Chairperson Mary Barry Larkin at chairperson.mungretcamogie@gmail.com to arrange a no obligation chat. You wont regret it!
