Portarlington played Stradbally Parish Gaels in the fourth round of the league at home in McCann Park. This was going to be a huge task with a number of players missing through injury and not being available. However, the lads really stood up to the test and playing with the wind in the first half had a good lead going in at the break leading 1 08 to 3 points.

The second half was going to be difficult with Stradbally using the wind and attacking Port from the off. Our lads did excellent work in defence trying to stop them from taking advantage. Portarlington earned a hard fought draw in the end with the match ending 1 09 a piece. Our final league game will be against The Harps in 2 weeks time.
