The death has occurred of Paddy Collins, Limerick Road, Sixmilebridge. Paddy was a former officer with Sixmilebridge Gaa club for a long number of years and was known as a man with a lot of integrity. Paddy was a great man to collect old memories of the club and indeed he handed over a lot of videos he possessed to the club a good few years ago.

Paddy Collins made a huge lifelong contribution to our club from the 1980’s on. His expertise, integrity and diligence as an outstanding treasurer during our purchase and development of the ‘Páirc Bhán’ (our present main pitch) set a standard for a long line of tremendous treasurers right down to our present office holders.

Paddy was a gentleman of the highest order but was always prepared to speak out in a quiet but clear manner for the greater good of the club. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis.

There will be a guard of honor for Paddy on Tuesday evening, please assemble at the Square at 715pm.
