Weekly Club Notes - 9th Aug 2024

After a narrow defeat to Carrick Swans in the opening county group game we will be looking to bounce back and secure victory in our next match v Silvermines. Throw-in is at 2pm tomorrow(Saturday) in Templederry and it would be great to see as many of our supporters there as possible. Our intermediate hurlers are also in action this weekend as they take on Carrick Davins in the county championship. This game will throw-in on Sunday at 6pm in Gortnahoe(note the venue change from earlier in the week). After having a bye in the first round we play our first county championship game next weekend(Friday 16th) at 7pm in Dundrum against Cahir. Last weekend Cahir had a 2 point victory over Ballina.

We defeated Loughmore-Castleiney in the mid championship on July 31st.

We are due to face JK Brackens Og in our next mid game on August 21st.

NEW FIELD BENEFACTOR SCHEME LAUNCH

Thanks to all who have signed up so far to our New Field Benefactor Scheme. Works are still ongoing at preparing our new full size pitch & juvenile pitch and good progress is being made. To help cover the cost of this work and the provision of car parking facilities we are inviting supporters to help us and become a benefactor. Patrons will be able to support the scheme by bank transfer, subscribing in person with a committee member or payment online via our club website. PREMIER CO-OP LOTTO

You can now play the Premier Co-Op Lotto online at http://upperchurchdrombanegaa.ie/draws and help support Upperchurch Drombane Juvenile GAA.  Last week there was no winner of the €9,400 jackpot. There were 4 match 3 winners who receive €40 each. The jackpot for next week now resets to €9,600 Tickets must be bought by 8pm on Tuesday to be in the draw. You can also buy tickets at Ryan's Shop, Drombane Co-Op, Pa's Bar, Kinane's Pub or Oliver Ryan's Pub.
