County PIHC Championship

Well done to our Premier Intermediate hurlers who overcame Carrick Swans by 1-22 to 0-23 in their final round clash in Gortnahoe on Sunday evening. Despite the win we now face into a relegation semi-final against either Newport, Sean Treacys or Moyne-Templetuohy. 

Junior B Hurling

Congratulations to our Junior B hurlers who overcame Toomevara by 4-17 to 1-5 in Dolla on Saturday evening. We now progress to a semi-final meeting with either Knockshegowna, Ballina or Newport in the final. The draw is to be made this Tuesday night. The semis are scheduled for next Saturday 31st August.

 U-19 ‘A’ Hurling

Our U-19 hurlers lost out to a stronger Borris-Ileigh side by 4-17 to 1-17 in the North U19 A semi final on Wednesday last in Borris-Ileigh. Well done to our players and management on reaching this year’s North semi-finals.

 

U-17 ‘A’  Hurling

Hard luck to our U-17 hurlers who lost out by 3-25 to 2-10 to Nenagh Eire Og in the North quarter-final in Cloughjordan on Monday 19th August last. Well done to our players and management on reaching this year’s North quarter-finals.

 

U-13 Hurling

Well done to our U-13 D side who overcame Roscrea by 0-4 to 0-3 the North semi-final on Sunday evening next last. Best of luck to all our players and mentors in the North final.

Camogie

Hard luck to our senior camogie side lost out by 1-9 to 0-10 to Shannon Rovers on Sunday in what was a closely fought encounter.  Our Junior side also lost out to Cashel by 5-13 to 1-10in Cashel on Sunday evening.

Ladies Football

Hard luck to our junior footballers who lost out by 6-20 to 1-10 St. Pat’s in a championship clash in Dolla on Sunday last. Our next outing is against Holycross-Ballycahill on the 8th of September in Dolla.

 

Lotto Jackpot

Our club Lotto is now at 12,200 euro. Tickets can be bought from committee members or in a number of outlets in Nenagh where the Lotto jackpot is displayed. Lotto tickets can also be bought and renewed online.

 

Club Fundraiser

Preparations are continuing as the countdown to our ‘One Club’ fundraiser and Family Day begins. Our ‘Dung Bingo’ and Family Day takes place on Sunday 1st September from 2pm to 5pm in Dolla GAA grounds and it sure promises to be a great day out. There will be track and field activities, face painting, live music and some competitions also with Top Bins Challenge, Hang Tough and more. There will also be a Bar-B-Que and refreshments served. A ticket for ten euro buys a 1 metre square plot for the Dung Bingo even plus entry on the day.

We are asking everyone to please support our ‘One Club’ fundraiser. See you all on Sunday.
