Clarecastle hurlers may have come up short in this mornings U17A Shield Final but it certainly wasn’t down to lack of effort or commitment. The boys gave their all from the first whistle to the last and they can take immense pride in their performance.

A few missed opportunities for the Magpies resulted in a six point lead at half time for Kilmaley on a score line of 2-9 to 1-6.

Clarecastle piled on the pressure and were able to narrow the gap to 2 points but Kilmaley added their third goal in the 50th minute to keep their side on top to the closing stages.

Congrats to Kilmaley on winning the shield.

Final Score:
Kilmaley  3-11
