O'Dwyers GAA would like to express our sincere gratitude for the unwavering dedication and hard work over the past several years from Davy O’Rourke.
Davy has decided to step down from his role within the management team of the Senior men's first football team. His contributions to our adult section has been invaluable, and we're truly grateful for his tireless efforts.
After five seasons , it is safe to say he’s had a significant impact on our club. Davy's involvement began in 2020 in the management team with Sean Keenan, leading us to a Junior Championship victory. Building upon this success, guided the team to league promotions in 2022 and 2023, and a near-miss in the 2023 Championship final.
In 2024, the team continued to develop as they competed in the intermediate league and reached the Championship quarter finals.
Davy's influence extends far beyond match results. He has been instrumental in transitioning minor players to the adult level, developing our adult structure, and fostering a professional and success driven environment while balancing that with a sense of belonging & family among the group.
On behalf of the entire O'Dwyers GAA community, we thank you for your exceptional effort. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and hope to see you on the sidelines cheering on our teams or even from the boat as you race up and down the coast of Balbriggan💚💚💚
