On Saturday last both our U14 & U16 hurling panels headed for Nowlan Park for a double header in their respective Roinn A County Finals.
Unfortunately it wasn't to be our day in either contest as we were defeated by two excellent teams in Danesfort & Erins Own Castlecomer, who we would like to congratulate on a fantastic achievement. But all in the Boro can be very proud of the efforts of our young players who gave their all for the Boro cause.
Thanks must go to both sets of management teams for their huge commitment of time to take care of our young players. A further thank you to sponsors who helped in any way with the fundraising effort to pay for gear and the post match function in the clubhouse in Palmerstown. Special mention to Yvonne & Jason for running the function in the club on Saturday evening and being so generous with their time as always. We are also forever grateful for the continued work of our fantastic club man Tom Beirne for taking team and action photos of Saturdays finals and group pics in the run up to the finals.
Even though Saturday did not go our way it is a great sign for the future that we have 4 juvenile teams in county finals over these few weeks. We have reached both the U14 & U16 Roinn A Finals and have the U16 Roinn D final and Minor Roinn A final on the horizon. The future is bright. 🇶🇦🇶🇦
