Kinvara GAA has partnered with Kinvara Tidy Towns in their recently announced successful application for a Grant Aided Biodiversity Enhancement Programme around the Club Grounds. We are but one part of a four-pronged application made by the Kinvara Tidy Towns Committee in relation to the village and wider community.
The success of the application will see Kinvara GAA partnering with Kinvara Tidy Towns to complete several Bio-diversity enhancing projects at our club grounds including the planting of hedging and the creation of a new garden bed in the stony area just inside the entrance gate on the left hand side.
The work will be staged over the next 9mths and will be predominantly funded by the Grant Aid the Kinvara Tidy Towns committee have secured on our behalf β we are very grateful for the work they have done so far in this process.
However, to complete the initiative, the club is now reaching out to the entire membership base to identify a group of some of our more green fingered volunteers that will take the lead in organizing and helping to complete this enriching project for the club and community. Would you have an interest in this? Is this something you can get involved with to enhance the club? Most of us cannot help on the training or playing fields but maybe this is a way you can help the club?
The initiative is fully backed by the Club Executive and all necessary supports will be made available to ensure a successful completion of the project over the coming year.
