Both our U16 football teams had fantastic wins today in the championship in a very windy Moorefield.
Moorefield 4-8 St Laurences 2-4
First up was our Bs who took on St Laurence's and came out winners in a very good game considering the conditions. The Moores excelled in the second half against the breeze and kicked some great scores. This more or less guarantees a well deserved Championship Semi Final spot.
Moorefield 1-11 Round Towers 1-8
A really high tempo game in front of a large crowd saw Moorefield come away with a 3 point win against a very strong Towers team, our lads dug deep throughout working really hard out of posssession and converting some top class team moves the other end. This is the 3rd championship game in a row the team has won.
