Next steps on our 5 Year Development Plan.

A huge thank you to all our members who gave their views on St. Mary’s 5 Year Development Plan as part of our series of workshops earlier in the year or by participating in our online survey.

We reviewed all your comments and have set out a structure for the 5 Year Plan. There were many key themes emerging and a lot of commonality around the points raised. The key areas of focus were:

-       Developing our facilities and ensuring we have a club house and player facilities that support our club into the future and that we can all be proud of.
-       How we support the successful growth and development of the game of hurling within our club and across all grades. Defining success at all levels.
-       How we build for the future to cater for a growing population, with a focus on the pipeline of players and skill development

The next stage of the work is well underway; the committee is looking at our options for future development of facilities and playing fields and the drafting of our Final Plan. We hope to complete the Plan by the end of this year, present it to the St. Mary’s Committee and publish it by January 2026.

In the meantime you’ll have seen measures to enhance our existing facilities at the Sportsfield and the roll out of initiatives such as social hurling for Dads & Others.  Thanks again for the ongoing support, please find a link to an overview of the feedback received.
