Our Senior B team traveled to Ballinalea Park this afternoon and emerged victorious with a hard-fought 4-3 win against Ashford Rovers in a thrilling WDFL Division 1 encounter.

Wicklow Rovers got off to a flying start, taking the lead within the first five minutes. A fantastic move down the right flank involving Jack Noble and Alex Sinnott culminated in a pinpoint cross to Ade Kunle, who fired home from close range.

Midway through the first half, Evan Conyard doubled the lead for Wicklow, reacting quickest to a rebound after his initial effort was saved by the Ashford keeper. Ashford Rovers managed to pull one back just before halftime, leaving the score at 2-1.

Ten minutes into the second half, Wicklow Rovers were reduced to 10 men after a player received a second yellow card. However, the introduction of Ryan Beale proved to be a game-changer. The winger scored two quick-fire goals to extend the Wicklow lead to 4-1.

Ashford Rovers mounted a late comeback, scoring two goals in the closing stages, but the Wicklow Rovers held on to secure a well-deserved victory. James Fagan, Anton Clancy, and Jack Noble were outstanding throughout the match, contributing to another impressive performance from this young and talented team.
