The U14 girls ended today as Div 3 shield winners.
Storm Ashley gave as good as she could from the first whistle with extremely windy conditions that intensified to the very end. Finians played with the wind in the 1st half and clocked up a 10pt lead by the half time whistle 💪💪
They knew playing against the wind in the 2nd half was going to be a different ball game altogether but the girls battled for every ball and gave everything they had against a strong Clanna Gael side who now had the advantage.
Clanna Gael clawed back a number of points on the board but Finians were determined and hung on to the lead until the final whistle. 👏👏
What a brilliant game of football from these amazing young ladies. Thanks to all the supporters on the sideline.
