Minor Footballers Claim County Title
Congratulations to our U17 players and management team as they were crowned U17A County Champions on Tuesday evening in Duggan Park, Ballinasloe. The victory ended a 19 year wait since the clubs last Minor A Football title in 2005, and comes on the back of last weeks U19A County Title.
In a thrilling encounter, played between 2 well matched sides, our lads managed to hold out for victory on a score of 2-10(16) to 2-09(15). Commiserations to Claregalway who played their part in what was an end to end game full of drama right to the end.
A massive thank you to the large crowd that travelled out to support the lads on the night, it was really appreciated.
A memorable night that was the culmination of a lot of hard work by the group throughout the season – and it doesn’t end here!! The lads will now go forward to represent Galway in the Connacht Club Minor A Semi Final next Tuesday 29th in the Connacht GAA centre in Bekan where they will face Westport.
Best of Luck also to our Intermediate Footballers in the Semi Final on Saturday.
