On Saturday Night the club presented a book, in tribute to the late John Maye. We were delighted to have the Maye Family with us in Batterstown along with extended family from Mayo, friends from St.Peregrines (Dublin) and Lahardane McHales (Co. Mayo)

John Maye holds a special place in the history of Blackhall Gaels.

Club Secretary Michael Joyce made a presentation to the crowd gathered in Batterstown during the Joe Breen Cup. He told of the amazing work and dedication John provided not only to Blackhall Gaels but to his home club Lahardane and his adopted clubs throughout his life.

Thanks to Michael and his contributors for compiling the stories and images in the book.

The book can be viewed here
