It is with regret that today we say goodbye to Clarecastle oldest resident.
The Leyden name is synonymous with Clareabbey and all things village. Mrs Leyden a widow at a young age raised a family that had an impact on every facet of Clarecastle Community life.
On the passing of Johanna (nee Marrinan) Clareabbey House, Clarecastle, Co. Clare, formerly of Gortkeel, Ennistymon and Carhue, Cooraclare, Clarecastle GAA would like to extend its sympathy to Michael, Timothy, Teresa, Christy, Máirín, Gerardine, Patrick and Peter and the extended Leyden.
