Club Championships

Hard luck to our senior footballers who bowed out of the Munster club last weekend following a loss to Loughmore Castleiney in the semi. One of those days when little goes right and you get none of the breaks that all clubs will be familiar with. The club would like to express its gratitude to Paul, Justin, Peter, Shane, Barry, Tom, Billy, Neil, Mike, Victor and the panel of 34 players who have worked hard all year and given us some great match days out and who above all stand proud as Clare County Champions for the third time in four years.

A special word of thanks to Mike Brennan who has tirelessly attending game after game taking treasured photos. Thanks to all of our sponsors whose year in year out support to our teams helps us to keep competing at this level. Thanks to our colourful supporters, young and old and in particular the player and management family members for their unwavering backing. Lastly a word of thanks to the Clare County Board and officials for their help throughout the year.

We wish all the best to Loughmore Castleiney in the Munster final, they are an admirable dual team and are full marks for their win.

Keep tuned for news on our upcoming social where we will celebrate our senior mens and intermediate ladies wins early next year. Come on the Townies.

U21 Hurling
Hard luck to our second U21 hurling team who lost out to Clooney Quin by a single point in last weekend’s semi final in a very entertaining game.

Well done to our U21 A hurlers who beat Sixmilebridge in today’s shield semi to book themselves a spot in the final v Clooney Quin. Final score 1.17 to 1.14, a good performance in somewhat difficult weather conditions.

U16 Camogie
Hard luck to our U16 camogie girls who lost out to a strong Ruan side in today’s 16B shield final.
