On Wednesday 4th December, in cold and wet conditions at the OCDA pitch in Oranmore, Calasanctius College Senior footballers defeated St. Louis, Kiltimagh 5-12(27) to 1-13(16).
Calasanctius got off to a great start with full-forward Niall De Paor scoring 1-04 in the first 20 minutes which gave Calasanctius a strong half time lead 4-06 to 1-06 with other goals coming from Alan Burke and Eanna Costelo. Kiltimagh came out strong in the second half putting huge pressure on Calasanctius but further scores by Niall De Paor and Barry Keating and strong showings from Harry Keady, Fionn Fahy and Seán Martyn gave the Calasanctius team a deserved victory.
The next game is St. Jarlath's College next Thursday in Tuam, having already qualified for the Q/F on Wednesday 8th of January at 12.30pm.
