Waking up on Saturday morning after the Late Late Toy Show the buzz and excitement was really starting to build for Christmas around the 'Bridge with many still in dreamland after staying up late the night before. However as Saturday morning turned to afternoon, word had started to spread about the devastating news of the sudden passing of Michelle O'Meara - loving wife to club stalwart David and doting Mom to hurling stars Jack (10), Conor (7) and David (6).

A native of Truagh, Michelle (nee Browne) had really settled into the Club and Community and epitomised the wonderful Mothers we have in the club always available to help out in any way along with transporting her 3 boys to training, supporting the boys at blitzes and bringing the boys to any games involving the 'Bridge. She always had a smile on her face and a friendly word for everyone she met at the various training club locations - the very same locations that her husband Dave was instrumental in developing as he worked tirelessly in his spare time to ensure our club and community have some of the top facilities in the country.

All in Sixmilebridge GAA & Camogie, our Community and beyond would like to pass on our condolences to her heartbroken family, loving husband David, adored children Jack, Conor and David, parents Michael and Noreen, parents-in-law John and Vera, brother in law John, Aileen and Kate and all the extended O'Meara and Browne families.

As a mark of respect all club activities have been cancelled including Bingo (Monday night) and all Athletic Development classes for boys and girls at the Arena and at Morey Movement this week.

We would ask all to respect the families wishes for privacy at the house in the coming days as they try to process what has happened.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday evening (6-7:30) from McMahons Funeral Home Sixmilebridge with mass on Wednesday at St Finnachtas Church Sixmilebridge at 12 Noon.

To Dave and your boys -
Although no words can take away the sorrow that you bare,
May it be comforting for you to know that so many others really care
RIP Michelle
