On behalf of the club we would like to send our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Willie Murphy of Quay Rd who has gone to his eternal reward.
A lifelong supporter of the Magpies he rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the Black and White.
Along with others of his vintage, he was a constant in Clareabbey where he offered his opinions on the hurling training methods of the day. It was always a pleasure to meet Willie, be it walking down the Quay or enjoying his game of cards .
The village has lost a great character and friend.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
