Family Fun Day 2018 : Make sure to mark the date in the diary : SATURDAY 16th JUNE 2018 !!!!
Who will forget the fantastic turnout last year in Mackey Park on 03rd June 2017 when the children from Ahane NS, Castleconnell NS and Lisnagry NS and other children in the community enjoyed a hugely entertaining and memorable occasion. The day kicked off with the children taking part in a parade behind the banners, flags and bagpipes followed by the playing of Amhrán na bhFiann. The GAA games on the day consisted of the boys and girls play mixed school games in Boys Hurling & Football and Girls Football & Camogie.
The children (and indeed the adults) of all ages enjoyed the bouncy castles, play area for the little ones, tug of war competitions, skills challenges, obstacle courses, face painting, fortune telling as well as sampling teas, coffees, juices, hot dogs, ice-creams and savouring loads of home baking and having the opportunity to have their photos taken with the Liam MacCarthy, Sam Maguire, Irish Press and the Munster Senior Camogie Cups.
The 2018 Family fun day is supported by all in Ahane GAA / Camogie and Ladies Football with the aim to ensure that the most important people of the day – the children - had fun and make new friends.
