THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

Our recent Gameathon fundraiser which took place a few weeks ago proved to be a tremendously enjoyable and successful event.

As always, Longwood’s GAA and LGFA members and the wider community came out in force to show their support for our club.

We are delighted to announce that the Gameathon raised a fantastic €8,613.50

Of this total, €1,135 was generated by our Cake Sale. Thanks so much to all who provided cakes, buns and all sorts of treats for the sale. And what can we say about our fantastic sales team who gave up their Sunday to ensure every crumb was sold? Ye are amazing!

A special word of thanks to Aaron Ennis, Tony & Catherine Dixon, Jabil, Moyvalley Tyres, J.T. Kearney and Corrigan & Corrigan Solicitors, all of whom made generous donations in support of the event. We really appreciate your spirit of generosity.

Thanks to all who attended the event and made it such a fun and memorable day.

Most importantly thanks to all the players who raised so much sponsorship in the weeks leading up to the big day. With these young heroes in our village, the future of our club is in safe hands!

We have lots of projects in the pipeline; the completion of our back pitch – goal posts, ball stopper nets, lighting for our extended walking track, laying of astro turf around our Ball Wall and that’s just for starters!

We look forward to everyone seeing the fruits of our collective labour in the coming months as we prepare for the 2023 season.

In the meantime, as the current season draws to a close we hope all our players, coaches and supporters can enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir!
