The u12 hurlers of Sarsfields & Milltown achieved another 1st Friday evening, with the first ever division 1 victory over a talented Ardclough team.
After a solid opening 10 minutes going a couple of points ahead, we were rocked by 2 goals. Well down on the scoreboard at half time, the lads agreed to up the workrate and speed of play.
We were quickly back on par with some well taken scores in the second half, but our gallant opponents weren't about to lie down. A wonderful individual goal after a 40m run saw them back on level terms. The MillSars team snuck ahead in the last 10 mins to finish out victors 5-4 to 4-2. A great game where the team showed true heart and resilience to dig out victory.
