Congratulations to our U-13 footballers who made it a hat-trick of Group 4 titles in Littleton on Tuesday evening when they swept past Durlas Og to claim divisional honours on a 2-18 to 0-1 scoreline. Despite the scoreline this was a keenly contested game but the Thurles boys simply couldn't match the Brackens for scoring power as they led 1-12 to 0-1 at the break. Dylan Fennell, Charlie Doyle and Dara Naughton did the bulk of the scoring while Jack Bourke, Aaron Owens and Barney Murphy chipped in with some nice scores. But it was an excellent team performance all over the field. Bryan Tonde was sound in goals while team captain Mikey Prout led the defence which also had good performances from Oisin Barrett and Evan Corpez. Luke Quinlan made a valuable contribution up front while substitutes Paul Clarke and Alistair Coady made their presence felt when introduced. The lads now go forward to the county semi-final where they will take on Ballina on Tuesday May 9th. See fixtures for details. Well done to players and management on a great effort so far and best of luck in the county semi.
