Saturday afternoon will live long in the memory of all Kildare Supporters as the county claimed All-Ireland Under 20 Championship success with a 1-17 to 0-12 win over Sligo.

While it was a big win for Kildare, it's also important to note the huge role our own club had on yesterday's success in Cavan.

Back in 2018 our own Brian McLoughlin scored the match winning goal in the win over Mayo at Croke Park and there was Clane players very much to the fore in the latest All-Ireland win.

Our three stars Adam Fanning, Oisin O'Sullivan and Harry O'Neill all started the game and remarkably all got on the scoresheet as they contributed six points from play.

Adam top scored with a brilliant three point tally while Oisin went through the pain barrier to score a point in each half before going off in the second half.

Even corner back Harry got upfield for a point and what a score it was as he knocked over a long range effort when it got tight in the second half.

We are so proud of the three players but we are equally as proud of selector Sean O'Dea who's put in huge work with the side over the last few months.

A great day for club and county and we can't wait till the lads bring the cup back to Clane.
