This Sunday 28th of May from 10am-11.30am the U10/U11 seasons come to an end. To mark the end of the season the Metropolitan Girls League (MGL) has brought in a new initiative which will see the final weekend of the season being played in a blitz format. The theme of the day is to:

· Promote Fun – make this as fun and enjoyable a day as possible

· Promote Teamwork – encourage the children to work together as a team

· Celebrate Girls Football – Girls football has never been as big as it is now and in a World Cup Year , what better way to celebrate than an event like this. Be Positive !

All 98 teams will participate in four team blitz across the city and St. Itas have been chosen to hold the U11 Premier blitz including St. Itas, Stepaside, Shelbourne & Kilnamanagh.

Tomorrows blitz in St. Itas is being generously sponored by Glenveagh Homes, St. Itas youth sponsor for this year.

It promises to be a great event and a memorable day for the girls.
