Burgess gaa Notes 30th January 2017
All Ireland Camogie Semi Final:
A huge crowd from the parish made the long journey to Monaghan to support the Duharra women in the all Ireland semi final but unfortunately our girls were piped by two points despite a ferocious second half come back. We would like to send them our commiserations and tell them how proud we all are of them.
Minor Football:
We face Kilruane in our opening game of the B minor football championship with the competition scheduled to begin in March.
Club Lotto:
There was no winner of last Monday nights lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 3, 4, 13 & 14. The lucky dip winners were Paul Hogan c/o Johnny G, Susan Gill Kylebeg & Dave O’Brien c/o Johnny G. Sellers prize Barrys Pub. This weeks draw was in Reidy’s for a Jackpot of €6,750.
Little all stars:
Our little All Stars initiative is going great guns on Saturday mornings with the children of the parish really enjoying the activities. We would like to thank all who are helping out.
Ramble to Kilcolman:
Our night of cards, tea and chat which began last Thursday night at 8pm in Kilcolman was a great success. Anyone interested in playing 45 in the parish is more than welcome every Thursday night at 8.
