Burgess GAA Notes 23rd January 2017
AGM:
He club held its annual general meeting on Friday last in Kilcolman. The meeting was preceded by a Mass for deceased members of the club and afterwards club chairman Mike Carroll presented Father Tim O’Brien P.P. with a plaque for his golden jubilee.
The AGM was a well attended and we’ll run affair with comprehensive reviews of the year from the chairman, secretary and treasurer.
Camogie Club All Ireland semi final:
We wish the Burgess Duharra ladies the very best of luck in their all Ireland quest and we would urge as many of our members as possible to make the trip to Inniskeen to support them.
Details of Buses:
Senior All Ireland Camogie Final in Monaghan next Sunday 29th January, anyone else wishing to reserve a seat on the bus leaving at 9.30/10am, please contact the camogie club on+353 (83) 432 1777 by the evening of Wednesday 25th for the remaining places. Please note that only people who have reserved in advance will be able to travel on the bus.
Juvenile AGM:
Burgess Juvenile GAA Club AGM will be held on Friday 27th January at 8pm in Kilcoleman. All parents are requested to attend.
Ramble to Kilcolman:
A night of cards, tea and chat will begin next Thursday night from 8pm in Kilcolman. Anyone interested in playing 45 in the parish is more than welcome.
Club Lotto:
There was no winner of last Monday nights lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 4, 9, 17 & 27. The Lucky dip winners were Libby, Farrah & Ben Stanley Newtown, Laureen McKenna Newtown & Hugh Sullivan c/o Francie Walsh. Sellers prize Tom Delee. This weeks draw was in D Pallas Bar for a Jackpot of €6,600.
