The big day has come! The Men’s 1s will compete in the semi-final of the EY2 competition this Saturday, 20th April. As both finalists are automatically promoted, victory against Cork Harlequins will result in promotion to the top tier of Irish hockey for the first time since the inception of the current EYHL competition over 10 years ago. We are calling on all Avoca members to stick on the white jersey and join us for the great occasion! A supporter’s bus has been arranged, with the price for a return journey being €20. The match will tip off at 10.30 am in Garryduff sports center. Moreover, the second semi final will take place directly afterwards between Cookstown and Pembroke, so there is an amazing opportunity to watch some very high quality hockey.
