Our u13 hurlers hosted Mountmellick on Monday evening in their first league game. Portarlington played against a very strong wind in the first half and with some hard fought contests on the ball had a score of 1-8 to 0-1 to show for their efforts. The second half started with Portarlington working the ball around the pitch and creating plenty of opportunities for scoring. Mountmellick fought hard and in the second half and regained a goal in the 2nd and 20 th minute. However, Portarlington were on target to bring the final score to 3-13 to 2-1 to the joy of their loyal supporters.
