Our U13 Hurlers travelled to Ballyfin on Monday evening for their second League game.
Conditions were favorable as the contest began. Portarlington came out battling hard and met a
strong and physical side in Ballyfin. Some lovely open play developed with each side on target.
Portarlington showed great promise, but two quick goals from Ballyfin left Portarlington catching up
towards the end of the first half, bringing a half time scoreline of Port 1.06, Ballyfin 3.05.
The second half started and Portarlington put in a great effort, but Ballyfin continued to dominate over the field. Portarlington dusted off and pressed on in attack and defended well. Despite their best efforts two more goals opened the score gap even more. It was a tough and physical game for the boys bringing the final score to Portarlington 1.07, Ballyfin 5.13.
