We are delighted to share the wonderful news that the "Win a Home in Oranmore" draw concluded successfully with Regina Pepper Hobbs (Mulvey) from Carrick-On-Shannon emerging as the lucky winner. Regina, along with her husband Reuben, are ecstatic about their new home at No. 44, a beautiful AA-rated three-bedroom house in Oranmore, Co. Galway.
This draw has provided a life-changing start for this young couple. Originally from Carrick-on-Shannon and Westport, Regina and Reuben reconnected in Galway after meeting on holidays. They have always considered Galway a second home and are overjoyed to return, especially as they are expecting their first baby in October—a future Maree Oranmore FC player!
Your support and generosity made this possible. With an incredible 16,061 tickets included in the draw, this has been the most successful "Win a Home" draw ever held on the island of Ireland. The live draw, held at the Galway Bay Golf Resort on June 21 2024 and overseen by independent auditor David O’Dea of DHKN, was streamed to over 10,000 viewers, marking a memorable culmination of this initiative.
The funds raised will significantly benefit Maree Oranmore FC by supporting the construction of new five-a-side and nine-a-side pitches and other essential facilities. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds (5% of sales) will be donated to our charity partner, A Lust For Life, supporting youth mental health initiatives across Ireland.
