Dear MOFC Members,

I hope this email finds you all well and rested after the break following our most successful season in the club's history. We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our teams and the spirit shown by all members. As we look forward to the new season, I wanted to share some important updates with you in advance of our AGM which will be held in September.

The new season will kick off in early August, and we are eager to see everyone back on the field, ready to build on last year's successes.

New Membership Structure - You spoke, We listened.

In response to your feedback from last year's survey, we have restructured our membership to include a facilities fee. This fee will replace the €2 collection at every training session, offering a more convenient and cost-effective solution for everyone.
This season’s membership fees will include a facility fees increase are as follows:

  • Competitive Teams: €50

  • Academy: €40

  • Family Memberships: €100

This works out to just €5 per month, a significant saving compared to the €16 monthly contribution for a player training twice a week previously. We hope this new system will make it easier for everyone, as many of you expressed difficulties with finding cash and a preference for moving payments online. Additionally, we understand that flexibility is important, so we will offer the option to pay membership in instalments if needed.

Moving to ClubZap

To streamline our processes further, all club payments and communications will now be handled through ClubZap. Membership is open now, and we encourage you to sign up and take advantage of the new system as soon as possible using this link.

Financial Transparency
Running a club of our size involves significant costs, which we manage through a combination of membership fees, fundraising events, sponsorships, and grants.

Here is a brief overview of our main expenses and funding sources:
Costs:
Pitch Mortgages, Rental and Maintenance, Competition Costs e.g. Referees, Buses, Equipment and Kit, Insurance and Affiliation Fees (payable to GFA, FAI, CFA).

Funding Sources:

Membership Fees (including new facility fee): Critical for covering day-to-day operations. These fees cover approx. 50% of club’s expenses. The other 50% is covered by the following.

  • Fundraising Events: Annual events that support specific projects.

  • Sponsorships: Partnerships with local businesses.

  • Rental: Rental of 4G Facility to other clubs

Grants: Applications for community and sports development funds.

Next Steps

In the coming days, prior members will receive a renewal email ith a link they can click on to renew in a few clicks. You can also renew or signup up here. Early registration enables the club plan ahead including knowing how many teams are to be entered in each age level for the various leagues.

We appreciate your continued support in making MOFC a thriving community for all our members. Your involvement and contributions are invaluable, and we look forward to another fantastic season together.

Yours in Sport,
