Summer days are over! Gers weekly round-up ๐จ
Well done to our U15 Girls who had a fine win over Na Fianna to start their Football Championship campaign ๐
The team won on a scoreline of 6-11 to 3-08 in a brilliant game!
Our U12 Boys Hurling team got the season off to a busy start on Saturday with a tournament over on the north side of Dublin.
Our U12 Boys Hurling team got the season off to a busy start on Saturday with a tournament over on the north side of Dublin.
They acquitted themselves admirably against Na Fianna, Ballinteer St Johnโs and Oliver Plunketts. While all opposition are in higher divisions the Gers lads played great hurling and finished strongly with a great final game display. The rest of the season bodes well!
The U9 Girls returned to action on Sunday morning with a game against Ballyboden. Well done to both teams for putting on a great show for supporters.
Hard luck to both our Adult Menโs football teams who both lost in the Championship this weekend.
Our Junior men were beaten by Fingallians on Friday evening while our Intermediate team lost out to St. Pats (P) on Saturday in Ballyogan.
Hard luck to both sides and the management teams. Thanks to Michelle Flood for taking some great snaps of the Intermediate team on Saturday.
And this weekend saw the final Summer Skills Session of 2024, thanks to Dec Flood and all the coaches for their wonderful work over the last number of weeks!
Well done to all who took part and we are all looking forward to seeing all the new skills learnt in action on the pitch when the season starts again shortly!
