Geraldines GFC would like to offer our deepest condolences to the entire Dunne family on the sad passing of Eamonn.

A proud Kerryman who emigrated to Dublin and fortunately for us on to Blackrock. Eamonn was a talented footballer who signed up with the Geraldines and gave us years of dedication both as a player and coach.

He played a huge role in our intermediate success of 1995 and subsequently was selected to represent his adopted county in the NFL of 1996.

His management career was equally successful. He led Mattock Rangers to a senior championship final and was then appointed Louth minor and then Under 21 manager.

He came back to manage the Geraldines in 2019, leading us to our first senior championship semifinal since 1983. He had numerous successes at underage and moulded some of our best players.

Eamonn was a brilliant teammate, so reliable and always had your back. He was a great character, a real leader and always up for the craic.

He will be sadly missed by all in McGeough Park
