The weekend’s weather was intense but our teams continued to display great performances.

On Friday, U15 Division 1 girls made it 5 wins in a row with a hard fought 2 point victory away to St. Judes. 🔵🟢👊🏻

Saturday, the U12 girls travelled to Lucan and played incredibly well under blistering sun. Some great football and teamwork on display. Well done girls.👏🏻👏🏻

Still on Saturday, our boys hurlers withstood the heat well too.

The U16 div 3 hurlers had a super win v Clontarf away at St Anne’s Park. Final score: Syls 5-15 v Clontarf 1-4

Meanwhile the U13 boys displayed great skills overcoming Na Fianna at Bridgefield winning by 10 points. A special shout out to the 5 boys who stayed on to help the U14 team v Ballyboden. Unfortunately they lost out to the full strength visitors.

On Sunday, in division 1, the boys Minor A footballers had v a great result v Ballymun Kickhams at Broomfield. Leading by just a point up to the 2nd half waterbreak, the lads pushed hard in the last few minutes to secure the win. Goal by Ben Meehan. Score; Syls 1-13, Ballymun Kickhams 0-09.

It was a great win for the boys Minor B Footballers on Thursday too who had a convincing win v St Maurs at Broomfield.

In the afternoon, the U13 girls both had extremely challenging matches against Clontarf at Broomfield. The A team, after a rocky start managed a strong win. The B team despite great efforts unfortunately lost to Clontarf. Congrats must go to all 4 teams for giving it their all showing determination and grit in the sweltering heat. Pics are of the A team happy after their hard fought win.

Finally, our U16 girls faced top of the league table Skerries Harps away. A tough game with an unbelievable effort put in by all the Sylvesters players. The coaches really couldn’t have asked for more from the team! Superb work rate throughout, excellent display of football but it was a hard fought battle against a very strong side. Unfortunately loosing by just 2 points in the end. 2-07 to 1-12
