This weekend we had lots of action across club championship and blitzes and Go Games with some great results recorded -
Minor Hurlers
Our Minor hurlers completed their group games in the championship with a win over Inagh/Kilnamona on a score line of 2-22 to 2-15. This places them in 4th place in the table but there is one game remaining with Eire Og to play Kilmaley tonight. The outcome of this game will seal our fate with a win for the Townies will see them leap frog the Bridge and push us out of the Semi finals.
U14 Hurlers
Our U14 boys were in action on Saturday morning away to Clarecastle and they made it 2 from 2 with a 4-08 to 1-08 win. This puts the boys through to the knockout stages having already recorded a win over Ballyea in round 1.
U12 Hurlers
These boys were in action at home to Na Piarsaigh of Limerick in a challenge game and lost out by the narrowest of margins on a score line of 4-05 to 4-04.
U11 Hurlers
We had 2 teams in action in Monaleen on Saturday afternoon - each 11 a side team played 2 very entertaining games to keep them in good shape for some big upcoming tournaments and Go Games challenges in the coming weeks.
U9 & 10 Hurlers
We visited Clooney/Quin on Sunday evening for round 2 of the U10 Go Games series for our U9 and U10 boys - We had 28 boys in attendance and played 2 games against the hosts with plenty of skill and determination on view from this bunch of every improving boys who love their hurling. It was also great to see Will Slattery back on the sidelines after breaking his foot in recent weeks - we hope to seem him back playing very soon.
U7 Hurlers
Our 7 boys were on the road yesterday with a trip over the border for a battle of The Bridges against Clarinbridge. While the level of skills and grit shown by the boys was a highllight for the coaches the highllight for the boys was the stop over in Supermacs in Gort on the way home. Thanks to Clarinbridge and also our parents for traveling
