U14 Division 1 Football League Cobh 5-10 Aghada 1-9

We played our final Football league game of the year last Friday(30th Aug) below in Rostellan on a fine evening for a game.We started off very well playing some good football linking up play which lead to good scores from David, Lorcan and Jack. We lead by 4pts but we started to get sloppy with our passing and a physically bigger Cobh team punished us half time score Cobh 2-4 Aghada 0-6pts.
We conceded another goal straight after half time and as second half progressed Cobh scored 2 more goals which moved them well ahead.Our lads never stopped trying and we got a goal towards the finish from Cormac.
We have made progress with this group during the year but alot more needs to be put in, inorder to keep developing them. I'd like to thank Bernard Alcock for generously sponsoring a new of jerseys for the u14s.Team H Burgoyne, D Kearns, D Walsh, L O Connor, M McRa, C Cashman(1-02), D Callanan, D Crowley, J Kelleher(0-03), L Evans, D Murphy(0-01), D O Brien(0-02), C O Reilly, B Duggan(0-01), C Lowney subs all used S Ahern, C O Neill, E Kirrane, B O Riordan, M O Loughlin, J O Sullivan.
