What’s Happening to Teamer?

Teamer has been used by grassroots teams and clubs for years to organise players, communicate with members, manage availability, schedule events and collect payments.

Teamer is part of the Pitchero Group, which acquired the platform in 2018. The group has now decided to focus its investment on its Pitchero and PitcheroGPS products, meaning Teamer will close on Monday, 5 October 2026.

Until then, existing users can continue using Teamer’s core functionality, but clubs should start preparing for the move now rather than waiting until access disappears.

Do I Need to Do Anything Right Now?

You don’t need to stop using Teamer immediately.

1. Decide What You Need From Your Next Platform

Don’t automatically replace Teamer with the first alternative you find. Use this as an opportunity to look at how your club operates today.

Ask your committee:

• Are we managing one team or an entire club?

Because there isn’t a straightforward full-data export from Teamer, identify the information you’ll need before your account becomes inaccessible. Screenshot or write down your player lists, fixtures and payment history while you still have access.

• Attendance information

October might feel like a while away, but moving hundreds of members across multiple teams takes planning.

4. Communicate the Change to Members

Let your team know. Players, parents and coaches can keep using Teamer as normal until the closure date, but someone needs to tell them when and where you’re moving to.

Your members don’t need a technical explanation of why you’re changing systems.

• Which platform the club is moving to
• When the change will happen
• What they need to do
• Where they should go if they need help

Send an initial announcement and then remind members as your migration date approaches.

Teamer has indicated that Premium subscriptions will be cancelled during September to avoid customers being billed into October.
